We stand behind our product
Understanding hemp extracts and cannabinoids can be tricky. While research shows our bodies can benefit immensely from natural cannabinoids (like those found in hemp), Health Canada limits our health claims. Legally, we have to say "this doesn’t do anything." But think about it: would we spend all this time and money perfecting a product that doesn’t work? Health Canada requires us to make NO CLAIMS about the efficacy of our products at relieving pain or inflammation. But I will say this, some people that have used our HempStick have reported things like reduction in joint pain, reduction in muscle pain, reduction in nerve pain, lessened symptoms for discomfort in arthritis, decreased discomfort in RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome), reduction in back, knee, elbow, head, neck, and wrist pain, decreased inflammation, feelings of calmness, relief from bee stings, sunburns, and irritations. Results may vary, and we’re not saying you’ll experience any of the above benefits, we’re simply passing on what’s been said to us.
Legally we have to say that ‘no expiry date has been determined’ for this product, we have found that the HempStick stays fresh for at least a year, and should be thrown out at the two-year mark. That said, I recently found a three year old stick in a drawer, and it looked and smelled completely fine. The organic essential oils in the HempStick act as natural preservatives.
Again, this is a totally natural product; if you leave it in your car on a hot summer’s day, it WILL start to melt. Typically our HempStick will get quite rather soft around 27 degrees celsius, and it will start completely melting at 55 degrees celsius. We recommend storing it at or below room temperature (22 degrees or below). The cooler it stays, the longer the shelf life as well.
That depends. Travel within Canada is completely fine, but you MUST do your research into which countries have restrictions on these types of products. While the HempStick is completely legal in certain USA states, crossing the border into the USA with a cannabis product (which this topical is designated as) is illegal. To reiterate – you MUST do your own research before leaving the country with a cannabis product.
These types of topicals work because your skin has built in receptors that can absorb the CBD, which is a kind of natural ingredient (known as a cannabinoid) from the cannabis plant. It’s localized relief as a result of the endocannabinoid system (already in your body) interacting with the cannabinoids extracted from the natural hemp. It’s almost like our bodies were designed to experience relief from this plant? Oh wait, they were!
This varies quite a bit. Some report IMMEDIATE effects. Some report warming, relaxing, and calming effects over time. But it should be noted that 96% of users report positive and/or extremely positive effects within the first hour. These are anecdotal reports, and cannot be called “scientifically proven statements”.

While the hemp itself is not a controlled substance, once it is extracted into a full spectrum oil it falls under Canada’s cannabis regulations and is governed by Health Canada; Health Canada does not allow direct to customer online sales. Our product will be available first on Mendo, and then eventually become available through various online and retail avenues.
The vast majority of our ingredients are certified organic (like all of our essential oils, coconut oil, and shea butter), while our other ingredients are 100% natural, and free from chemicals and pesticides.
